Born out of its creator’s passion for innovation, Mangos comes from the combined use of a dense material, one used in shoe-making for the production of soles, with a laser cutting machine. After several attempts François set and tuned the cutting machine to produce a structuring pattern. The shape follows the pattern: the inner lines of the object are reminiscant of the usual way a Mangos is cut and hence the name of the object. Furthermore, these lines serve also as a framework for the object’s adaptable shape: being malleable by nature, Mangos will fold or unfold at whim and will thereby adapt itself to any desire. Produced in 7 vivid di erent colors the fruit basket will bring joy to any table or enliven any shelf.
Mangos pays once again tribute to this novel use of material that was found within the Krux: “My partner and cofounder Gera Asmuth had bought this laser cutter, together, we had the idea to use it on this material that has been following me for years. The next challenge was to see if we were able to produce thousands of pieces here...” Well mission accomplished again for the Krux with this inspiring object!
