About Mathias Van de Walle

The magic of modularity

Head researcher, Mathias van de Walle, imagines clever objects that give charm to everyday life.
Behind the refined and timeless aesthetics dear to the young Belgian designer, there are hours of experimentation. In a constant search for new ingenious systems that give their modernity to his creations, Mathias van de Walle makes geometry variable thanks to his rigorous and meticulous work. Unfoldable, built-in or modular, Mathias van de walle's design reveals its fantasy and practicality from the very first use.
In 2013, while still a student, the young designer made his name with "Clicq' Up", a portable Champagne bucket for Veuve Clicquot inspired by the ancestral Japanese art of folding, or Origami. Having become a master in pop-up design at just 31 years old, he marks each of his new collaborations with internationally renowned brands with his own identity.
