Under the name Veridis Quo, Paris-based illustrator and textile designer Elisa Brouet designs exotic flowers, beautiful women by the water and coastal architecture of southern Europe and Africa.
Her illustrations in summer colours remind us of the soft sensation of the sun on our skin and of a swimming costume still moistened by sea water. Elisa marvels at the power of images to inspire an imaginary journey. Her escapades are an essential source of inspiration: she loves the sun reflected in the sea, dreamlike landscapes and urban jungles.
The contrasts and warmth that emanate from her work are due to her passionate relationship with colour.
She combines collage and the traditional use of paint (oil paint, watercolour, pastels, ink and pigments) with digital tools.
