The Solid 01 Bowl by weld & co will turn heads with its shape and function that are pared down to the essentials. A minimal, 15-degree fold transforms a circle into kind of plate. Held by a strip of wood, the folded disk becomes a bowl which, when viewed from the side, almost seems to float on air.
The selected materials – powder coated sheet steel and solid oiled wood – create a sense of both contrast and unity. The metal and wood are joined together firmly by a form-fitting wedge joint.
