Cushion produced on a pre-Hispanic Mayan belt loom. Made by traditional women artisans in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala, in the volcanic region of Lake Atitlan. These delicate Ikat dyeing techniques are centuries old, passed down from generation to generation. They are made by hand, with unique designs specific to each artisan. This typical textile is inspired by the "Tzuts" or scarves worn in the city by local women. It was originally created by Maria Sosof, a talented master weaver and friend. Each design is a motif illustrating life around the lake and has been redesigned by Coutume.
This cushion brings character to your interior. It is ready to place in the living room or in your bedroom, as it comes with its premium cushion in 100% cotton fabric and hypoallergenic polyester filling. It does not contain any animal products.
