Benjamin Decle is a French designer, born in 1990, he lives and works in Lille (North of France).
He learnt the profession of cabinetmaker for five years and then went on to study design at the Ecole Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Valenciennes (North of France) where he obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in object/social design with the congratulations of the jury.
His different experiences have enabled him to establish a working method and to acquire a multidisciplinary practice allowing him to be operational on the different production tools essential to creation.
In all of his projects, he builds a methodical path that goes through the design, the sketch, the model, and through the knowledge of the material and its physical and technical properties.
His practice in social design is centred on working with the individual with whom he cohabits and exists with in order to better understand his expectations.
The craft, design and sculptural creations that emerge from his work are the result of various unspecified research projects that give a singular vision of his approach to design.
In his research he devotes a lot of time to experimenting with forms, materials and uses which he adds to different notions such as accumulation, stratification and repetition.
