Catalpine

Inspired by the lives of cats, Pia and Tao, Catalpine is a brand created by designers who love animals.

Catalpine offers trendy and atypical products for cats. Objects in 3D printing to match your companion and his environment.

The Catalpine team evolves in a family spirit, close to its animals to best meet their needs and their development.

The story began in the North of France where the products are manufactured. Live this adventure with us and share your own story with the Catalpine universe.

Christophe FRANCOIS Designer

After having approached fine arts and architecture in the 80s, Christophe decided to express himself in design.
After graduating from ESDI, he turned to furniture design in 1990 and worked on various industrial projects.

Attentive to details, he maintains a constant dialogue between user observation, comfort and intuitiveness when writing his products.

Within the Decathlon cycle department, Christophe will define the design of some outstanding creations such as the Hop bikes, Hoprider and the famous original B'twin.

He teaches at several design, engineering and management schools and occasionally gives lectures.

Convinced that design can improve people's lives on a daily basis, he became the First Design Manager of the Saint Etienne conurbation.

"When I imagine a new product, I try above all to put myself in the place of the user without trying to follow the trends of the moment.

I try to imagine new concepts, to find new solutions, without decorative effects.

I want the product to be easy to understand and to interact with the user. The emotion the product arouses then flows from it".
