Faja is a design studio based in Paris. Inspiration comes from traveling and discovering world culture. It is about searching meaning through pattern design (aztec and incas symbols, african wax, oceania, asian farbics and european's)
A simple design
Fashion accessories are made out of Origami technique. It doesn't require stitches or glue in order to make a very pure design.
Sustainability and Slowfashion
All our products are made out of a unique combinaison of 2 materials:
- Cork is an organic material extracted on trees that regenerates themself every 10 years. It is a sustainable and vegan leather, better for Human's rights, respects animals treatments.
- Recycled plastic canvas. Made out of recycled plastic bottles collected in France.
Founded in 2019 by Ioanna Nikas and Denis Simonis, the projects began in South America back in 2014. A bolivian woman wove belts called "fajas incas" where symbols represent the daily life of Inca civilisation. Mountains, condors, sky. Back in Europe, they realised all our objects are meaningless and they want to spread their vision.
