WHAT IS DESIGNERBOX ?

The designerbox concept was a way for the team of Iconic Product Collection to share their passion for and knowledge of creations in the world of home décor and international design. Such exclusive articles are often out of reach for many, due to their high prices or limited distribution, compared to mass-market decor products; our objective is to inspire a collector’s spirit in others and make it possible for you to receive handsome and useful items created by major design stars and made by french or european craftsmen with natural, noble materials (wood, ceramic, porcelain, metal, etc.) and 100% recyclable starting at just €19,90*!

What kind of objects will I receive ?

Each month, you’ll receive a different, unique, aesthetic and functional object created for you by a star designer. These designers create objects to use, display or admire, made from a variety of noble and recyclable materials. A vase, a candle, an objet d’art, a lamp, and other incomparable articles.

With designerbox, every month is a different story: the story of a designer, an object, a material, a unique savoir-faire.

Every month, a unique collector’s object is delivered in a handsome gift box with « iconic news » and goodies.

Is the object offered by designerbox exclusive ?

Yes. The items you receive are designed especially for designerbox members. The design is original and has been manufactured exclusively for designerbox  based on specific demand by french or european craftsmen. 

Can I choose my object ?

The principle of designerbox.com is the element of surprise. You cannot know in advance what is in your designerbox, but you may rest assured that it was designed by a renowned designer and produced with the utmost care and they will be handsome, useful and not bulky in your home.

If you don’t like surprises…, previous boxes are available on sale on our website.

Where are the objects manufactured ?

Each object is professionally designed using a “noble” material with special attention given to creating something lasting and beautiful. Each object is therefore made primarily in relation to its material, crafted by local workshops in French or Europe that respect their employees and the environment and demand top quality.

For example, a wooden object would be made in a region where there is both the raw material from managed forests and where you will naturally find a wide spectrum of companies specialising in woodworking.

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

How can I buy an already-released item to complete my collection ?

A small quantity of each object is set aside for this purpose, is strictly limited and only available while supplies last. On the designerbox.com website, go to “The Boxes”, you can see those items that are still available and you can make you happy. 

Some of objects will also be available on sale in a different color or material therefore without the other box contents (iconic news & goodies) and at a different price.

Why is my designerbox more expensive when I buy on a per-item basis ?

As with any collection, first-come buyers enjoy access and preferential prices on previously released designerbox products while supplies last.

If you are a member or if you are purchasing a designerbox by unit while also becoming a member, you enjoy a special member price.

If you are not a member, you can still buy a designerbox on a per-unit basis, but will not receive the offer reserved for members.

When will I receive my first designerbox ?

The date of your first designerbox is always shown at the time you place your order.

Generally, if you sign up before the 21st of the month, you will receive your first designerbox the first week of the following month. If you sign up after the 21st, you will receive your first designerbox the first week of the month after the following month..

Can I sign up for just one month ?

If you want to test the concept, we propose a free subscription with no minimum duration and possibility to cancel anytime.

How do I know if my order was received ?

Once you have completed and confirmed all order and payment details, designerbox will send you a confirmation email and a summary of your order.

All orders information are also available on MY ACCOUNT page on our designerbox website.

How do I terminate my membership ?

You can freely decide to unsubscribe by sending an email to customer@designerbox.com or directly in MY ACCOUNT page.. The end of your contract then take effect on the expiration date specified in your order. 
If you cancel your subscription after this date, and if the cancellation is done before the 9th of the month, your subscription will be cancelled at the end of the current month. If the cacellation is done after the 9th of the month, your subscription will be cancelled at the end of the following month. .

How do I modify my membership ?

When you choose a subscription the time-frame of your membership can not be changed. This commitment is the condition of our attractive pricing policy. In exceptional circumstances, our customer service will contact you directly after your mail sent to customer@designerbox.com.

Can I defer membership - sign up today and receive tomorrow ?

The delivery date is the same each month regardless of the date of commissioning of your subscription. The element of surprise is important for designerbox and its customers. The designerbox are delivered first week of each month.

What if I am away or on holiday for a prolonged period (holiday) ?

If you know you will be on holiday for a prolonged period you can supply us with another address (your office, your neighbour, your vacation location, etc.) where we can deliver your designerbox. To take effect, your changes must be made before the 21st of the month via the MY ACCOUNT page.

Can I temporarily or permanently change my delivery address ?

Yes, you can temporarily or permanently change your delivery address (for a same delivery area). For that change to take effect, it must be made before the 21st of the month via the MY ACCOUNT page, where you must specify the new delivery address (your office, your neighbour, your vacation location, etc.).

I gave the wrong delivery address – what should I do ?

You can change or correct your shipping address at any time. For that change to take effect, it must be made before the 21st of the month via the MY ACCOUNT page, where you must specify the new delivery address (your office, your neighbour, your vacation location, etc.).

I didn’t receive a delivery – what should I do ?

We cannot be held responsible for postal service problems, delays,…

However, after checking with your neighbours, concierge, and postman, and if they provide no answers, please contact us (customer@designerbox.com) and we will check with our logistics partner using the tracking number.

I cannot find my country in the list of countries for the delivery address !

Designerbox delivery is currently available in the few countries indicate in the sales terms available on the website.

This month’s object arrived damaged - what should I do ?

Our packaging (cardboard box + wooden case + cushioning materials) is specifically designed to protect the items we send you. If, however, the item arrives damaged or broken, you have 48 hours after the delivery date to let us know and briefly describe the damage by email (customer@designerbox.com) and send us by email a picture of the damaged object.

As written in our sales term (art.11), you have 7 days to return the item to us in its original packaging. Upon receipt, we will send you the same item or, if it is no longer available, another already released item that you do not have in your collection. Should no other Designer Boxes be in stock, your membership will be extended by one month.

I don’t like the object of the month - can I return it ?

By becoming a member, you agree to the designerbox.com terms, including not knowing what the object is, but knowing that it is of high-quality design and manufacture and arrives in a numbered wooden box. The items are made to order according to the number of members, which means it can be sold at a discounted price. For this reason, you cannot return the object of the month if it does not aesthetically match your tastes or expectations.

Why not give it to someone who will appreciate its aesthetics ?

Can I pay by credit card ?

Obviously.

Is your online payment secure ?

Online credit card payment is secured by our partner, Paybox. Designerbox does not store your credit card information.

Can I pay by cheque ?

No, it's not possible. 

Can I pay by bank transfer ?

No, it's not possible. 

Can I pay using PayPal ?

Yes, of course. 

Where do I find my invoices ?

Your invoices can be accessed using the MY ACCOUNT page.

I’m changing banks - how do I change my bank details ?

You can make this change using the MY ACCOUNT page.

My credit card is about to expire or I’m changing credit cards - how do I make this credit card change ?

You can make this change using the MY ACCOUNT page.

When will my account be charged for the purchases ?

In the case of a membership with monthly payment, the first payment is charged immediately, and subsequent payments are taken on the 10th of each month. In the case of a gift package or per-item purchase, your account is debited immediately.

How do I change my password ?

Login using the MY ACCOUNT page, go to “Your personal information” and change your password on this page.

I lost my password – what do I do ?

Login using the MY ACCOUNT page, go to “forgot password”, where you will fill out a form to receive your password via the email address of your choice.
